Ravens vs Bengals Week 16 Picks and Predictions: Baltimore Returns the Favor in Cincinnati

First place in the AFC North standings will be on the line when the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals meet at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday. The Bengals beat up on the Ravens when these teams met on October 24, as Joe Burrow & Co. earned a 41-17 victory as 6.5-point road underdogs.

Will Baltimore get revenge on Cincinnati by earning a road win of its own? You’ll want to keep reading our Week 16 betting picks and predictions for Ravens vs. Bengals to see how this one might play out.

NFL Week 12 Odds: Best Spot Bets Include Taking Advantage of Road Weary Raiders

The same situational angles we highlight for NFL betting each week are out there lurking for the average person during Thanksgiving Week.

Travel troubles and scheduling nightmares are abundant. Look-ahead spots are too, with big plans in place for family and friends. And even letdowns are looming, as you remember why you live on the other side of the country and rarely keep in touch with your hometown crowd.

Ah, the holidays.

I chow down on the always-tricky NFL Week 12 slate and highlight similar pitfalls in three NFL spot bets to consider when capping the odds.

Bills vs Chargers Odds, Picks, and Predictions Week 16: Low-Hanging Fruit

The Buffalo Bills are on the West Coast this weekend and get a stand-alone prime-time game tonight vs. the clean-house Los Angeles Chargers who will feature new head coach Giff Smith and rely on quarterback Easton Stick as a double-digit dog.

With plenty of movement of both the side and total and coming off an embarrassing prime-time loss that got their coach canned, should bettors expect a different Chargers team than the one in Week 15?

I break down the NFL odds and offer my free NFL picks for Bills vs. Chargers on December 23.

My analysis

No matter which angle you choose to compare these two teams from, there is no reason for the Philadelphia Eagles to be favored by a field goal over the Green Bay Packers on a neutral field.

If we’re going purely based on last year’s performances, the Packers’ have the edge …

Michael Carrick sets consistency as gold standard for Manchester United

The statue of Manchester United’s Holy Trinity is a feature of the Old Trafford landscape. For a club increasingly burdened by unflattering comparisons to their past, while invariably generating more, the spectre of an unholy trilogy looms larger. Forget Best, Law and Charlton, this threatens to be an autumn to rank among their worst.

Sunday brings a third meeting with title contenders, their supposed peers, and the first two amounted to humiliations. United kick off at Stamford Bridge 12 points behind Chelsea and after conceding more than five times as many goals. Liverpool scored five of them, Manchester City a mere two, but neither bothered to add to their tally in the final 40 minutes as they seemed to declare against vanquished oppone…

Newcastle lead race to sign £50m-rated Harvey Barnes from Leicester

Newcastle are leading the race to sign Leicester’s Harvey Barnes, who is a target for Aston Villa, Tottenham and West Ham.

Eddie Howe wants a new left-winger and one could arrive if he sells Allan Saint-Maximin, who is the subject of interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League. Newcastle have strengthened in midfield by signing Sandro Tonali from Milan and Howe’s next priority is to bolster his attacking options. Barnes is expected to leave Leicester after their relegation.

Cincinnati v Montreal: ‘Alarming’ slow starts must change, insists Kinnear

Cincinnati assistant head coach Dominic Kinnear insisted that the team’s slow starts were alarming and needed to be put right ahead of the visit of CF Montreal.

With head coach Pat Noonan serving a suspension, Kinnear watched on as his side conceded two goals in six minutes against Inter Miami, with Luis Suarez netting both in a 2-0 victory for the Eastern Conference leaders.

Despite the result, the Orange and Blue remain second in the standings, but have Leagues Cup winners Columbus Crew breathing down their necks and the advantage of having two games in hand.

Kinnear believes that starting fast will set the tone for the remainder of the season, explaining that it must start sooner rather than later ahead of the playoffs.
